Meeting with Gazprom

A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Federal Minister for Petroleum Mr. Ali Pervaiz Malik, recently met with representatives of Gazprom, Russia’s leading oil and gas company, to explore avenues for strategic collaboration. The meeting was also attended by MD/CEO OGDC Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Khalid Jamali.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures and potential business development between OGDC and Gazprom International.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing energy ties by leveraging Pakistan’s growing energy needs and Gazprom’s extensive experience in oil and gas exploration, production, and infrastructure development. It was mutually agreed to continue dialogue and identify feasible projects for partnership.
