OGDC Hosts Specialized Training on Methane Management and MIST

OGDC, through OGDC Training, organized a specialised training programme on “Methane Management and MIST (Methane Inventory Systematic Tool)” in collaboration with Carbon Limits, Norway, under the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC).

The programme brought together participants from Charter signatory companies in Pakistan, including PPL and Mari Energies, to strengthen collaboration and technical capacity in methane emissions management.

Delivered by experts from Carbon Limits, Norway, the training covered methane emissions estimation, measurement technologies, satellite-based detection, industry best practices, and the use of MIST for emissions inventory development in line with international standards.

The initiative reflects OGDC’s commitment to methane reduction, responsible energy practices, and a sustainable low-carbon future.
