OGDC Donates Pakistan’s First Mobile Eye Operation Theatre Units to Al-Shifa Trust

OGDC, under its CSR programme, donated three of Pakistan’s first Mobile Eye Operation Theatre Units to Al-Shifa Trust. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by MD/CEO OGDC Ahmed Hayat Lak.

Each of the 3 surgical units is composed of:

1. A pre-operative part that is equipped with a modern autoclave, an 18KW generator, and a pre-operative assessment space capable of accommodating 4–5 patients at a time.

2. A surgical area featuring twin OT tables. This space allows two surgeons to operate simultaneously.

The chief guest of the ceremony, Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO, OGDC emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in delivering quality healthcare to marginalized communities.
