OGDC Participates in 'The Directors Summit 2024'

The Directors Summit 2024 was organized by Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) at Karachi. The summit brought together board members and top management from Pakistan’s leading companies, alongside esteemed foreign speakers from top global corporations.

The summit featured prominent participation of OGDC’s leadership, including Chairman Mr. Zafar Masud, who shared insightful thoughts on "Corporate Governance in State-Owned Enterprises". Furthermore, MD/CEO OGDC Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak participated in a panel discussion focused on "State-Owned Enterprises Reforms," offering valuable perspectives on enhancing governance and operational efficiency. OGDC Directors Mr. Jahanzaib Durrani, Mr. Muhammad Riaz Khan, and Ms. Shamama Tul Amber Arbab also participated in the summit’s discussions.

The summit addressed a wide range of critical topics such as corporate governance and financial inclusion in startups, directors' duties and liabilities, cybersecurity, climate governance, and sustainability integration. It also featured leadership insights on corporate governance and discussed shareholders' rights as a pathway to capital market growth
