Revitalizing Mature Assets: OGDC Signs Agreement with Baker Hughes

OGDC has entered into a strategic contract with Baker Hughes, a leading US energy technology company, to deploy Mature Assets Solutions (MAS) for revitalizing ageing oil and gas wells and enhancing Pakistan’s indigenous hydrocarbon production.

The signing ceremony was attended by Special Secretary Petroleum Mirza Nasiruddin Mashood Ahmad and US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker. MD/CEO OGDC Ahmed Hayat Lak, along with senior leadership from both organizations, also participated.

Under the agreement, Baker Hughes will provide advanced technologies and integrated expertise to help OGDC unlock production opportunities and address challenges across its mature assets. OGDC reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with world‑class service providers to optimize production and strengthen Pakistan’s energy security. Ms. Natalie A. Baker, US Chargé d’Affaires, described the collaboration as a milestone in the US‑Pakistan energy partnership.
