Ahmed Hayat Lak

Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak possesses extensive experience in strategic leadership, corporate governance, public sector management, and the E&P industry. He was appointed Managing Director/CEO of OGDC on February 22, 2023. Previously he was serving as company secretary and head of legal services.

Mr. Lak is a director on the boards of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), Reko Diq Mining Company Limited (RDMC), Pakistan Minerals Private Limited (PMPL), and Pakistan International Oil Limited (PIOL).

Prior to joining OGDC, Mr. Lak served in Pakistan Oil Fields Limited (POL) as head of Corporate and Legal Services. He also worked in the National Accountability Bureau as an advisor to the chairman and as a consultant in the office of the prosecutor general.

Production optimization, business sustainability, and the company's transformation into an energy company are his primary focus areas.
