Lighting the Lamp in Orakzai

Born in the remote valleys of Orakzai, Tanwil Begum dreamed of pursuing education and building a better future. Her life changed when she was selected for OGDC's National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) at Sukkur IBA University in 2019, becoming one of the few girls from her area to study away from home.

At Sukkur IBA, she grew in confidence and academic excellence, graduating in 2024. Despite financial challenges and a difficult job search, she remained determined. Her persistence led her back to OGDC, where she successfully cleared the recruitment process and joined the Company as a Management Trainee Officer.

Today, Tanwil's journey from a small village in Orakzai to a career at OGDC reflects the power of education, opportunity, and perseverance.
