Ahmed Hayat Lak

Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak possesses extensive experience in strategic leadership, corporate governance, public sector management, and the exploration and production (E&P) industry. He was appointed as the MD/CEO of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) on February 22, 2023. Previously, he served as the Company's Secretary and Head of Legal Services. His leadership is focused on driving operational excellence, strengthening corporate governance, enhancing business sustainability, and steering the Company's transformation into a diversified energy enterprise.

In addition to leading OGDC, Mr. Lak serves on the Boards of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), Reko Diq Mining Company Limited (RDMC), Pakistan Minerals Private Limited (PMPL), and Pakistan International Oil Limited (PIOL). Prior to joining OGDC, he headed Corporate and Legal Services at Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) and also served as Advisor to the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Consultant in the Office of the Prosecutor General, bringing extensive legal, governance, and corporate management expertise to his leadership role.

Production optimization, business sustainability, and the company's transformation into an energy company are his primary focus areas. He is currently leading the organization's shift towards sustainability, resilience, and future-ready growth in line with the global energy transition.
