Jahanzaib Durrani

Mr. Jahanzaib Durrani is an Advocate of the High Court of Pakistan, an Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator (ADR ODR International, United Kingdom), and the Founding Partner of Law & Policy Chambers, Islamabad. He advises government entities, multinational corporations, international investors, financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises on corporate and commercial transactions, strategic investments, corporate governance, and dispute resolution, with a particular focus on the energy and mining sectors. 

He holds an LL.M in Oil, Gas and Mining Law from Nottingham Law School, United Kingdom, and an LL.M in International Financial Law from King’s College London. He has also completed executive education in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Business Sustainability from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. 

Mr. Durrani serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) and Saindak Metals Limited (SML). At OGDC, he is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Human Resource and ESG Committees. At SML, he is Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and serves on the Procurement & Technical Committee and the Human Resource Committee. 

His professional experience includes advising on major investment and infrastructure projects, cross-border transactions, and governance matters in Pakistan’s extractive industries. He has also served as a Visiting Faculty Member at the National Defence University, Islamabad, and previously worked as a Legal Assistant in the House of Lords, United Kingdom. 

Mr. Durrani has completed the Directors’ Training Program certified by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) through the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, the Directors’ Training Program for State-Owned Enterprises conducted by the National School of Public Policy (NSPP), and specialized board-level training in Driving ESG from the Boardroom through the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG).
